PCM1754 Pop Noise at starting and ending of playback

Hi Saurabh,

For this part the best way to eliminate this pop is to have a microcontroller that would control a circuit to "gently" mute the output. This would consist of a GPIO connected to a low pass filter then to a transistor, that will be a path to ground for the audio out. this will provide a smooth transition from one state to another. you can have the LPF on either side, this is just an example of a solution for this problem.

Hi Saurabh,

Unfortunately there is not a software fix for this within the part. Unless you have a microcontroller already in place, the part by itself will not be able to mitigate the pop noise.
