Hello

I want to interface C6748 with TLV320AIC3106 which is present on the kit. I am finding it difficult to understand McASP register initialization. Where can I find examples of the codec interfacing? Is there a literature which can help me understand the staterware pack McASP files easily?

Also, I am attaching schematic file of the LCDK codec section. The SELECT Pin of the IC is tied to VCC/2. SPI needs high input and i2C needs low input at this pin. How can the registers be programmed?OMAP-L138_C6748 LC Dev Kit Ver A6a .pdf

Hello Vishal,

You can take a look to this document for McASP reference. Also, this document explains how to make a quick configuration of AIC310x devices. More documentation for AIC3106 codec can be found in http://www.ti.com/product/TLV320AIC3106/technicaldocuments.

Regarding the SELECT pin, in the schematic the pin is connected to a logic 0 via R162, R160 is not installed in the design so by default the device is configured to work in I2C mode.
