I am making BPA200 based on An1192. Can I use IN4148 and LF412 for making the dc servo.? IN456 diode is not available here.

Kindly suggest some diodes which can be used in place of IN456A.

    Hi Sumesh.

    The BPA200 based on AN1192 uses Small Signal Diodes like the 1N456A. I recommend the use of this type of Diodes; 1N4149 and 1N458A could be used in place of 1N456A.

    Regarding the amplifier, I strongly recommend to use an Audio Power Amplifier such the LM3886 or similar if possible for making the dc servo.

    I wish to use the servo for single ended configuration also. Can I use the same component values give in AN1192 ?

    Hi Sumesh,

    Yes, you can use the same component values. Actually, in chapter 7.2.2 (Servo Circuits) of AN1192 you can verify the component values of a Non-Inverting Servo Amplifier Configuration and an Inverting Servo Amplifier Configuration (figures 14 and 15). Both circuits have a single ended configuration.

    For more details about the components see the chapter 8.3 (Build of Materials for BPA200 Amplifier) and check the description of each component.
