Hi Team,

I have a simple question about TPA3110D2.

The datasheet shows "Operating free-air temparature range" at "ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS".

On the other hand, the same description is found at "RECOMMENDED OPERATING CONDITIONS".

Is this means the device could be damaged if operating at more than Ta=85℃ even if Tj is below 150℃?

Best Regards,

  • Hi, Yaita-san,

No, the device will not be damaged due to internal thermal protection.

However, if you operate above 85C ambient, you may not be able to achieve the rated power rating of the device.

  • Hi Don-san,

    Thank you for your reply.
I understood it may not be able to achieve the rated power rating of the device when operating above 85C ambient.

However I would like to confirm the following.
Why the datasheet shows "Operating free-air temparature range" at "ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS"?
    Is it typo?

    Best Regards,
    Yaita
