64 Audio channels over IP

Hi all,

I consider capturing 64 analog audio channels and send them all over an IP stream.

It can be a modular design of 8x8 channels but I am not sure which ADC fits best for this purpose. Any tip ?

After the digitalization, what would be the optimal HW for encapsulating the digital audio into RTP ?

Many thanks in advance,

Jorge

  • Hi, Jorge,

I apologize, we don't have any information on such an application. I was hoping that someone in the Community would chime in with some suggestions for you.

As for part selection, we have an excellent selection tool. You can find it here. I would start my evaluation with one of the PCM186x family.

  • Hello Don Dapkus,

    Thanks for your reply.

I will take care of the IP encapsulation in a CPU.

A way of capturing 64 analogue audio channels with the same microcontroller is all I need at the moment.

It should be PCM format (can't be linear digitalization) and it would be nice to be able to read them as slaves (in an SPI-like bus for instance) in order to read from them at high speed so that multiple CODECs can share the bus.

I still can't find anything useful.....

    Many thanks for your help,

    Jorge
