I am using the SRC4192 in a design to bridge between two audio clock domains. Both domains operate at nominally 48kHz 24bit stereo I2S, 12.288MHz MCLK, but the clocks are asynchronous thus the use of the SRC4192. The only configuration option I am unclear on is the impact of the normal / low group delay option. The only information I found in the datasheet regarding this option indicates that it provides a lower group delay (as would be expected), and qualitative testing with the SRC4192EVM in the application revealed no perceptible difference between the two configurations. However, I would expect that there is some quantitative difference between the filter characteristics of the normal and low group delay modes other than just group delay; is there any information available on this? Thanks!
