Hello Audio Converters Community,

We are using the TLV320AIC23B to provide DAC outputs.

First we used an audio file generation software to provide some .mp3 files with Sinusoidal waveforms of different frequencies, such as 0.1KHz, 1KHz, 2KHz, 5KHz and 10KHz. Then we tested the waveform of the ROUT and LOUT.

Here is the waveform:

0.1KHz

1KHz

2KHz

5KHz

10KHz

We are confused that the output waveform becomes more and more distorted with the frequency increasing.

And we downloaded a song file to play, we can hear some noise superimposed on the normal sounds.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi Brant,

Thank you for the information that you provided. Additionally, could you provide your register configuration and the clock values that you are using? It may be related to the clocks settings, so the register configuration could help us to understand this issue.

Thank you so much for reminding me. The problem has been solved now.

The frequency of MCLK input clock was 33.8688MHz and it was too high with no input divider. So we took the function of MCLK/2. Now the sound is very pleasant to hear.
