TLV320AIC3262 PSRR of MICBIAS

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3262

Hello,

Is there a spec for PSRR of MICBIAS.  It is referred to in the applications reference guide as being "good", but I can't find it specified anywhere.  The ADC and DAC are spec'd, and it might be related, but I wanted to see if you can tell me what it is?

Thank you

  • Hi Jamaal,

You're right the the MICBIAS PSRR is not in the d/s. For band-gap modes (modes 0, 1 and 2), the MICBIAS is derived from a band-gap reference (very clean source) and is then fed to an amplifier (w/ feedback) to produce the programmed voltage. There is a mode where MICBIAS pin is directly connected to AVDD or LDOin (mode 3) which results in no supply rejection. Also, note that if AVDD3_33 is set to 1.8V, only modes 0 and 3 are supported.

  • Hi J,

What is the analog 1.8V Supply used for internally? Is the input processing or just class D output?
Is it the power to the ADC?

    Thank you

  • Jamaal,

It depends. There are many 1.8V supplies in the part. AVDD3_33 is for MICBIAS. Refer to Table 1 of TLV320AIC3262 datasheet.
