TAS5754M/56M Harmonic Intensity and Effect Intensity

Hi,

We could not understand the operations of the harmonic intensity and the effect intensity in detail although we have read the mention of the psychoacoustic bass enhancement which is mentioned on page 14 of the hybridflow processing user's guide(slau55u.pdf)
Therefore, could you please tell us those features in detail ?

Hi Kato-san,

The effect intensity is the number of hamornics of the fundamental generated. Where as harmonic intensity changes the level of the harmonics generated.

Could you please share your evaluation data to me if you already have evaluated the on/off performance of the harmonic intensity and the effect intensity by using the audio precision ?

Hi Kato-san,

On the AP, it shows up in the FFT. Make sure to use a fundamental tone below the HPF frequency setting, make sure the DBE energy sense BPF bandwidth includes the frequency of the test tone and make sure the level of the test one is high enough to go through high path of the DBE or lower the upper and lower DBE thresholds as low as possible. Remember the PBE is only for signals going through the high path of the DBE.
