TAS5414: Parallel channels

Dear guys!

I want to know, what is the recomendet way to connect 2 channels in parallel. The output is described in the datasheet, but what to do with the inputs? Is it the right way to use only 1 input capacitor? Or should i treat the 2 inputs like separated ones? Is it possible to connect all 4 channels together?

    It is possible to connect all 4 channels together so long as the datasheet-approved connection of the outputs is followed (also, if running load diagnostics, it should be run on all paralleled channels simultaneously).

    As for the inputs, it is fine to use either 1 input capacitor or to separate the channels out. Note that if only 1 input capacitor is used, the input impedances of the device will be in parallel. As a result, the input capacitor value must be increased accordingly to maintain the same input cutoff frequency.

    In other words, if a single input capacitor is used to parallel 2 input channels, a 2 uF blocking cap should be used to get the same AC response as a single channel with a 1 uF cap. For 4 paralleled channels a 4 uF cap should be used, etc. If the input channels are treated separately, the typical 1 uF cap is fine to use. Because of the increased cost of >1 uF high quality capacitors (such as metal film caps) most customers treat the inputs separately and use 1uF caps on each channel.
