The TLV320ADC3101 features a miniDSP which can be programmed by TI's comprehensive PurePath Studio software development environment. It provides common audio functions that can be used to generate an algorithm for the Peak Hold Function.

The peak hold function must be generated by the use of many block. There are several blocks in Level Detector section that can be used to detect the peak value (such Peak, PeakSq and DigitalPeak). These blocks can work for a determined time. Additionally, in Basic DSP section, there are several blocks that can be used to hold the value such C_Latch block.
