Hi everybody,
Currently I am using the TLV320AIC3254 with single ended inputs on IN1_L, and IN1_R.
When the device is powered-down, there is a serious crostalk (bleed through the device) to the HPL, HPR outputs.
Hereby attached the schematic diagram. Please help/advise.
Kind regards,
AlainTLV320AIC3254.pdf
Hi, Alain,
Welcome to E2E and thank you for your interest in our products.
The crosstalk is a normal behavior of the codec. The analog bypass to headphone amplifier works properly only if the TLV320AIC3254 is turned on. So, to avoid the crosstalk, I suggest to use an input signal only if the codec is turned on.
I hope this helps you. If you still have questions, please let me know.
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
Hi Alain,
All the TLV320 devices must respect the power supply voltage ranges for the correct behavior. The power supplies must reach a minimum value to work properly, so probably all the TLV320 devices will suffer this shutdown crosstalk issue when they are powered down.
Regarding your PCB design, I suggest to take a look of TLV320AIC3254EVM-K User's Guide. In appendix section, you may find a suggested design and components for the TLV320AIC3254 codec. Additionally, I recommend to take a look of 12. Power Supply Recommendations Section and 13. Layout Sections of TLV320AIC3254 datasheet.
I hope this helps you. If you still have questions, please let me know.
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
