Hello,
i have biuld a circuit with a PGA 2311 and he is to qiet. It is louder when i bridge the input pins to the output pins. Its louder without the PGA2311. I have used the recommended Connection from the PDF (Figure5). At start N is 150 and i didn't hear anything out of the speakers and if N is 255 i can hear the sound, but it's not as loud as i can hear without the PGA2311. The power supply is VA+ 5,1V , VA- -4,9V and VD+ 4,97V. The transformer for the Analog side has 1,8VA and 2x6V. 7805 and 7905 regulate the Voltage.
I hope you can help me.
Marius
Hello Marius,
It seems like there's a wiring error in your circuit. Unfortunately I can not see the schematic image clearly in order to make a further assessment. Can you please re-upload the schematic at a higher resolution, or upload it as a file instead of an image?
Best regards,

Hello Marius,
Thank you for the new image - it is very clear. After reviewing your schematic I have some follow-up questions and recommendations.
Best regards,
Ian Williams
Thank you for the fast reply.
1. The conntectors JP14 (Digital Ground) and JP15 (Analog Ground) are connected by a wire from JP 14 to JP 15.
2. The audio input is connected to JP 15 ( Analog Ground)
3. At start the PGA get a value of 150.
4. The PGA is mountet at a socket and i removed the PGA and connected Pin16 to 14 and Pin 9 to 11.
Some pictures from the board
I have found the mistake. It was a faulty solder joint at the mute pin. Sometimes the solder joint must have contact because at the measurement was 5V at the mute pin.
Now everything works fine and I can listen this smooth sound.
Thanks for your help
Best regards
Marius
