PCM1808 Handling for the Mode Setting Pins

Hi,

Could you please tell us the handling for the mode setting pins(FMT, MD0 and MD1) ?

Question. Connecting These Pins to VCC(5V) or GND Directly

Is our understanding correct although we believe that these pins are able to be connected to VCC or GND directly ?

Would you confirm it since there is mentioned in the latest data sheet as below ?

That content have not been mentioned in the older data sheet.

Would you tell us that reason if the pull-up/down resistors need ?

Hi Kato-san,

I apologize for the delay, yes these pins can be directly tied to either GND or Vcc. This will be corrected in the data sheet.

I have a question.
Could you please tell me why the mention of the 10kohm pull-up/down resistor was appended in the latest data sheet ?

Hi Kato-san,

It was believed that the 10K Ohm resistor would limit current and therefore reduce power savings. This might have some small truth to it but the internal resistors will do just fine, and save cost on components.
