TAS5727 Maximum Attack and Decay Time Constants

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5727

Hi,

Could you please tell us the maximum attack and decay time constants which we can set at the 48kHz processing ?
In addition, please tell us the calculation example(each register values, etc).

Best regards,
Kato

  • Hi Kato-San,

You can find the maximum attack and release time for the TAS5727 by using the GUI DRC tool. For this you need to set Rate Sliders to ON in properties window of the DRC band block.

Then you can see the range of values of each time constant with the equivalent hex value that should be written into the corresponding register by double clicking in the DRC block.

  • Hi Diego-san,
Thank you for your quick response.
I have checked the GUI DRC tool, then I have an additional question.
The maximum value of the attack and decay time constants was not changed although I changed the sampling rate from 48kHz to 16kHz on the TAS5727 gui when not connecting pc to the TAS5727 evm.
Is this the correct behavior ?
Could you please tell us your advice about it ?
    Best regards,
    Kato
