PurePath Console 1, can't connect with TAS5731EVM

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5721

Hi,

We installed the latest version of the PurePath Console 1, the installation was succesfull but the program is not connecting to the EVM. The "connect" button is red, and clicking on it makes no difference. We have a TAS5731EVM evaluation board and it works with the old "TAS57X1 GUI TAS57x1_v2.1_Build_8 (Rev. A)" software, we tried it on two different PC's with Windows 7.

Best regards,

Constantin

  • Hi Ulrich,

Welcome to E2E, thanks for your interest in our products!

The TAS5731EVM works with both TAS57x1GUI and PurePath Console 1, You need different controller boards for each software. TAS57x1GUI requires the MC57xxPSIA controller board, it is included when ordering the TAS5731EVM. PurePath Console 1 uses the InputUsbBoard3 to interface the EVM.

I recommend you to use the TAS57x1GUI for programming the EVM and generate the script to configure the amplifier.

  • Hi Diego,

Thank you for your reply. Although it works with the old software, we are interested to use the new one. Is the InputUsbBoard3 available without any other amps, or should we buy a TAS5721 EVM, where it is included?

    Best regards,
    Constantin
  • Hi Ulrich,

Unfortunately the InputUsbBoard3 can't be bought separately, you must purchase an EVM kit that includes it. The TAS5614LDDVEVM is a powerful Audio System that includes the InputUsbBoard3 in the Kit, It may be a good choice for new high power applications :).
