TAS5754M/56M Register Settings for Test Board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5754M, TAS5756M

Hi,
Could you please tell us how to set the proper value which we have obtained at 192kHz processing(HF5) by using the TAS5754M evm to all registers on the customer test board ?
We have found two methods on the TAS5754M evm regarding it as below.
So, could you please share the register settings which are needed for HF5 only to us ?
Please give us your advice if we have any misunderstanding ?
1. Execute "Load Settings"
2. Choose "HybridFlow 5" and "Load" and "Execute" for All Registers
Best regards,
Kato
  • Hi Kato-san,

    1. "Load settings" allows you to load the GUI settings saved from a previous setup. This includes EQ, DRC, etc. When "RUN" (GREEN arrow) is selected after loading settings, the settings in the GUI is downloaded to the TAS5754M or TAS5756M. This is an XML file.
    2. "Load" in the I2C tab allows you to load direcrtly I2C scripts in CFG format from a previous register dump or an I2C script you previously created/saved. "Execute" button writes the I2C register commands from the loaded script. This is a CFG file.

#1 configures the device and PPCMB audio signal path when used. #2 typical configures only the device, so additional script is needed to route the audio signal path.

  • Hi Damian-san,

Thank you for explaining so politely.
Is my understanding correct although I understood that our customer should load the register file(the CFG file) which is dumped from the TAS5754M/56M evm if setting the customer's test board easily ?

    Best regards,
    Kato
