For one of our bio medical application, we are implementing voice assistant where voice commands will be used while operating instrument. Voice will be stored in Flash/ EEPROM interfaced with host controller(LPC2138)

We are looking for TI products for same and come up with TLV320DAC3100.

Our query is

1. For embedded part, GUI based library is provided by TI. But we want to integrate it with our controller ( LPC2138 ). Can we get support or ref code ( C based ) for same?

2. Is it cross compatible with other controllers ( say ARM7, Microchip etc ) ?

The GUI is used for the TLV320DAC3100EVM. It is a good tool to configure the TLV320DAC3100 in an easier way. We can provide support if you need help with the DAC3100 register configuration and schematic. Be free to ask about this device.

It can be integrated with the devices that support the I2C protocol and audio serial data interface (I2S, left/right-justified, DSP modes). The register configuration is made by I2C protocol. Then, in order to use the audio DAC, it is necessary to use an I2S or PCM protocol.

Hi, Vaibhav,

We don't have a sample C code, but you may see the example scripts in datasheet such the 5.5.15 Example Register Setup to Play Digital Data Through DAC and Headphone/Speaker Outputs. It provides a code in format w 30 xx yy (w - write; 30 - I2C address; xx - register; yy - data).
