TPA2031 and TPS3113

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA3113D2

Hi,

Presently, have a speaker array designed with 10 TPA2031. The requirements have added a woofer too. I was planning to use the TPA3113 for the woofer. What considerations should I take care of checking is I were to replace the 10 TPA2031s with 6 TPA3113s?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Rohit Joshi

You must consider the next points to handle the TPA3113D2: the supply voltage range is higher,  this device handles higher output power, it is necessary a ferrite bead output filter to pass EMI regulation, an LC filter may be required, the device has fixed gain setting, PLIMIT function, short circuit protection and auto recovery.

We recommend to check the specifications, application schematics and operation modes of the amplifier's datasheet to design the new circuit.

    Best regards
