TLV320AIC3106EVM - Can't get noise threshold running

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3106

Hello,
I am trying to evaluate some functions on the TLV320AIC3106EVM Eval Board. I run the TLV320AIC3106EVM with the USB-MODEVM Interface Board via USB on my PC. Driver an communication works fine after troubleshoot some Windows 7 related driver Problems.

Now I am trying to evaluate the AGC "noise threshold" as described in the Datasheet (Ref. F) in Section 11.3.3.2.2. Therfore I use the Line1LP as single ended input and the HPLOUT and HPLCOM as Output.

The following commands are send to configure the TLV320AIC3106
i i2cfast
w 30 13 04
w 30 2E 80
w 30 33 0D
w 30 1A 80
w 30 1C 02
w 30 3A 0D
w 30 35 80

The noise threshold doesn't work. Noise is still on my Headphone. What I am doing wrong? How I can get the noise threshold running?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards

Alexander

  • Hi, Alexander,

Welcome to E2E and thank you for your interest in our products.

The PGA_to_HPout doesn't work properly with the AGC functionality. I think that the best output would be a loobpack between DIN and DOUT. This option only can be used in master mode, but it ensures that the DOUT output will be used as DIN input.
