TPA3251D2 VDD pin

Hello.

I have question about VDD pin (11).

Can I use this pin for external reset circuit for TPA3251D2?

I would like use MCP100T-3.00V, which consumes only 45uA.

Adam

  • Hi, Adam,

Welcome to e2e, and thank you for your interest in our products!

That pin is for decoupling of an internal regulator, and we generally recommend not trying to use it for driving external current. We don't characterize this pin for ability to handle external current, so we can't guarantee operation with additional current draw (I'm not saying it won't work, I'm saying we can't guarantee it will work).

  • Hi Adam,

VDD requires an external 12V supply, which is used to generate internal regulator voltages as AVDD and DVDD. If you're referring to DVDD, as Don mentioned we don't recommend using DVDD/AVDD to power external circuitry. Please see section 11.1.1 in the datasheet on page 27.

  • Thanks for fast answer.
I will use external voltage for reset circuit .
