Connecting digital mic to headphone

Hello,

I need to connect digital micrphone with data and clk pins to IIS interface.
The mic is MP34DT01.
I already tried to connect it in several ways to IIS Din and Bclk (or GPIO)

Is there a ready application to demo connection from a digital mic to headphones/speakers with basic volume option ?

I am using both purepath and CS tool.
The codec is AIC3254

  • Hi, Amir,

There's no ready application from digital mic to headphone/speakers. I suggest to use the "High Performance Stereo Playback" in Typical Playback Configurations of the CS tool. This configuration routes LDAC/RDAC to the line and headphones output. Then, you will need to configure the codec in loopback mode (search for Digital Loopback option on Audio Interface menu). Finally, configure the digital microphone as you have been doing. Don't forget to program USB Audio Settings on Dividers menu.

I hope this helps you. Please let me know if the problem persist.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.

  • Hi Luis,
What should be the USB Audio Settings on Dividers menu ?
    What is it for ?
  • Hi, Amir,

It would depend of your clocks needs. The sample frequency (ADC_Fs and DAC_Fs) must match with the WCLK frequency. Additionally, you must pay attention to the DAC_MOD_CLK and ADC_MOD_CLK if you are using these clocks for the digital microphone clk pin. You must be sure that the frequency will match with the digital mic properties.

    Best regards,
