I replaced a PCM2900B with a PCM2900C and now Windows 7 does not recognize the device.

It cannot find the driver.

I have uninstalled the device and restarted the computer.

Still will not recognize and enumerate.

The 12MHz oscillator is running.

The PCM2900B was working on W7.

I removed it and replaced it with a PCM2900C to comply with W7.

Now neither of the devices (B or C) will enumerate.

Mac OSX recognizes the PCM2900.

I bypassed the TUSB2046 hub and connected the PCM2900 directly to the USB host. Now it enumerates properly. So what is wrong with the hub?

Hi Bruce,

I can only see one thing outside our recommendations for PCM2900C. R60 and R61 might not be necessary, only R66 is necessary at the D+/D- path.
If you need further support on TUSB2046B you might post it into the Interface forum.

R60 and 61 are actually not used. After patching the PCM2900 to another downstream port, it worked and then moved it back to the original port, it still worked. Something is either marginal (I did not put loading capacitors on the downstream ports) or Windows 7 has lost its mind. As I said, OSX saw the PCM2900 when W7 did not ID it.
