Audio amplifier output not as expected

We are using TPA6205A1DGNR part as audio amplifier in our application (display control board using FTDI graphic controller chip).

During testing we observed that boards did not come up right for the audio (video and touchscreen are okay). We checked a board and found that the speaker + and – terminals had the exact same waveform, whereas they are supposed to be out of phase. We have checked the IC specification, and the design looks like it follow the spec.

  • Hi Srikanth

Welcome to E2E and thank you for your interest in our products.

Shutdown mode is active (no output), shutdown pin should be tied to Vdd to work normally. Please let me know your opinion or if you have more questions.

    Best regards
