Please let me know about two point below of TPA0253 and TS5A23159.

--------------------------------

【Background】

・TPA0253 and TS5A23159 Circuit is attached below.

・Customer want to change Gain-setting for Speaker output(BTL) and Headphone output(SE) separately.

【Question】

①Is this way of Gain-setting correct?

Is there concern point(noise, etc), please let me know.

②When used case of Mono Speaker, "SPK_SW" turn L-level.

But, I think that SPK_SW line will overlap voise sound signal.

⇒When case of large sound, is TS5A23159 no problem or not?

--------------------------------

Best regards,

Satoshi

  • The TS5A23159 cannot handle a negative voltage swing which why it is not commonly used in analog audio applications.  I would use an audio switch like the TS5A22362 or TS5A22364 device since these are designed for audio switching applications.  If the sounds is large you just need to make sure that the current through the switch does not exceed 150 mA stated in the abs max table.

  • Hi Satoshi-San,

Regarding the TPA0253 the gain-setting and the output circuit are correct, it shouldn't generate any issue like noise, etc.

Please let me know if you have more questions.
