Hello!

My first post here:)

I am using I2C for r/w control registers of TLV320AIC20K. Access to registers 1,2 is OK, I can write and read. Could you please clarify how to read/wrire registers such as 3A, 3B, 3C and so on. For example, I want to read version of chip ( ICID bits) in register 3C, how can I addres to this register?

Excuse me, have you tried to write on bits D7-D6 the correct values of each register? I mean, have you tried to write 00 on bits D7-D6 of control register 3 to address to register 3A, 01 for 3B, 10 for 3C and 11 for 3D? There's a "sub-address" on the control register 3 which can be controlled by bits D7-D6.

Hi Luis,
No, I did not try this. This way of access to the subregister is looking a bit strange for me :) - because for writing I need before read 3A (to save D5-D0 from it) after that set D7-D6, write 3A, and only after that get acces to the subregister. Thank you, I will try to use this procedure tomorrow.

That's fine. I will be waiting for the results. Additionally, you may try with a continuous reading of the registers.
