About SPDIF to I2S IC (5.1 channel )

Hi Nat,

The parts we have to do SPDIF to I2S conversion are able to take the SPDIF stream that would carry 5.1 channel data into I2S, but they cannot decode this information. Dolby has a 5.1 channel compression standard that our parts will identify, but again cannot decode. The decode would need to be done on a DSP or applications processor to go from encoded I2S to the 6 separate channels.
