Analog input to digital Class D amplifiers.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1808, PCM1803A

"I am designing a system with a 100W/channel power requirement.  All of the high power Class D amplifiers require a digital input.  How do I get my analog input into the amplifier?"

ANSWER: You will need to use an audio ADC.  We have evaluated the TI PCM1808 and PCM1803A (for higher performance) and find that they both work very well with all of the TASxxxx amplifier soulutions.
