I'm having trouble with getting my AICxxxx EVM up and running

The TLV320AICxxxx EVMs use a TAS1020B to provide I2C control via USB from a Windows computer. The TAS1020B can also stream I2S data to the EVM as well.

The most common problems are addressed in this app note TLV320AIC3xEVM-PDK Series Troubleshooting Guide (Rev. A):

http://focus.ti.com/general/docs/techdocsabstract.tsp?abstractName=slaa388a

Some AIC310x EVMs (PDKs) were shipped out with a version of the software that has a problem on some systems. If you experience:

We have successfully installed the software and set the right A1 and A0 on the USB-MODEM. In running the GUI software, we have selected the device, I2C and etc. However, the problem is that it will immediately exit once it enters the main control panel.

Then you have the version of the software that has the issue.

Check the Product Folder for the latest version of the GUI Software for the EVM.

The AIC310x software is also available from our FTP site at ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/PPAC/TLV320AIC310xEVM_software/
