Record audio output TPA3140

Hello, I do not know if it could be possible, but I need to record the output got on a TPA3140. How must I do it?

I mean, the inputs of the recorders usually use the signal to ground to get the purpose of recording (Single-Ended Inputs) and on the TPA3140 we have a BTL configuration...so any suggestion?

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi, Alvaro

You can try to use a capacitor to filter the DC offset before you send the signal to the recorder.

BTW, what is the purpose of adding a recorder after ClassD? And what is the recorder's input impedance?

  • Thank you so much for your reply Peter,

The impedance of the recorder is 9.4 Kohms. Shouldn't I use a class D amplifier to record? I need to use the same Output into a couple of speaker placed at a long distance. I'm getting by now good tests. As well I want to use this kind of amplifier because of the low consumption property.

    Best regards,

    Álvaro

  • Hi, Alvaro
If you need to use Class D's output as the recorder's input. Make sure:
    1) Use BTL output as the differential input for your record. If you use SE output, it will make PSRR worse. You may hear the power noise (60Hz,180Hz,300Hz......). You need to select differential input amplifier as your recorder.
    2) Make sure the filter between Class D's output and your recorder has enough attenuation for the switching frequency . Or you recorder can't work normally.
