Line, Mic and Instrument Level pre amp design

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA163, INA217

Hi,

I am looking for some information about parts and reference designs for a pre-amp circuit which can support mic, line and instrument levels. The physical input will be combo xlr, the line/instrument will be switch-able with optional pad, and phantom power will be switchable.

THAT Corp. have a great design note that covers most of this:

So I am wondering if TI have similar design notes or reference designs. Also, does TI offer a preamp part that is similar to THAT's 1580.

Thanks

  • Hi dlh,

You could take a look at devices like INA217 and INA163, I think these are similar to 1580.
Regarding the reference design I will seek for similar documentation in our literature database.
