PCM2906C - disable line out feature

Hello,

I would like to use only line-in feature of PCM2906C. By default, OS register PCM2906C as stereo line IN/OUT device. Is there a way to let OS know/think that this device only has line-in capability (with hardware design)?
Problem is, I would like to use this device as line-in recorder, while sound from apps would be using default/choosen audio output device, which in this case is PCM2906C(by default).

Also, can I left output pins floating if they are not used?

    Hi Schperplata,

    Unfortunately there is no way to disable the analog output from being recognized by the OS. The user need to change the playback device in the Playback Devices menu after the PCM2906C is connected and recognized.
    The analog output pins can be left floating if they are not used.
