Does anyone have any THD or THD+N plots of the TPA3251 EVM that can confirm these numbers? Is this performance reasonable for the EVM?

    Hi Albert,

    The EVM performance should be very close to TPA3251 datasheet spec. I'm not clear on the complete setup used for QA401, but I'm concerned that it used 33V/5A supply to measure 75W/3ohms. Also the THD+N measurement in our datasheet is driving with a differential input. The QA401 appears to be using single-ended input, which gives lower performance. The plots referenced in the blog for QA401 are from our datasheet, which should match our EVM as well.

    I guess the point of the blog is that the QA401 isn't the best, but it's good enough for the size and price. It can get reasonably close to the device performance.
