TAS3204EVM Missing File

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS3204

During the test procedure TAS3204EVM_TEST PROCEDURE.PDF under heading 4.1 TAS3204EVM Analog Input Verification:

Check for Analog input3 ADC2

The missing file is:  3204_MASTER_ SDIN_ A3_Enable_67.cfg

File does not seem to be on the CD.  Where can we get this, and is this something that needs to be corrected on the CD for future releases?

  • Leonard,

Thank you for pointing this out. The above mentioned file was replaced by 3204_init_master.cfg in the latest copy of the CD-ROM that shipped with the Kit. We have since updated the user's guide to have to documentation match the CD-ROM Contents.

    Regards,

    Drew

  • thaks Drew . . . so how does he get the current setup he has to run properly?  Do we need to send him the file you mentioned, or a new CD?  And is the User Guide now on the website, or do we need to send the updated pdf?

  • customer states: After working on it for around an hour, I was still not able to get Audio Stereo Input 3 to work.  The other two stereo inputs and the digital in and out work well.

  • The three analog line inputs are muxed to two internal Digital-to-Analog Converters. The specific register to configure which input is selected either of the ADCs is available in the back of the TAS3204 Data Manual. This is simply done by sending and I2C transaction in the appropriate format to the target registers. By default, Line Input 1 is Muxed to ADC1 and Line Input 2 is Muxed to ADC2.

A simple way of doing this is to use the I2C Memory Tool of PurePath Studio.

For example writting the following byte to register 0x12 will enable Line Input 3 to be muxed to ADC2

    X12 21 (0b00100001) - Configures Input3 to ADC2, Input 1 to ADC1
