Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3204

TI - Could someone confirm if the following inputs on TLV320AIC3204 are Schmitt triggered?

MCLK
BCLK
WCLK
DIN/MFP1
DOUT/MFP2

Thanks!

  • Hi!

Welcome to E2E and thank you for your interest in our products!

Devices without a Schmitt trigger on the input specify VIH, minimum input voltage level for HIGH, and VIL, maximum input voltage level for low. These values are guaranteed by TI for the device to switch at those levels. Devices with a Schmitt trigger input switch at a threshold voltage, V_T. Due to the hysteresis property of a Schmitt trigger, this threshold voltage will vary based on if the transition is positive or negative.

The TLV320AIC3204 digital inputs/outputs have logic levels VIH and VIL (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tlv320aic3204.pdf#page=16). So, these devices don't have Schmitt trigger at the inputs.
