DIR9001 IO consideration

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DIR9001

Hi

We have following considerations. Would you advise us?

1.

DIR9001 has 5V tolerant TTL level inputs according to datasheet.

Are there any problem when Vcc=0V and these input = 5V?

2.

If voltage is applied to output side before VCC, current flows to VCC and IC is damaged?

Best regards

  • 1. The 5V tolerant TTL pins should be fine in this case.

    2. If the Absolute Maximum Rating table is violated then the device could be damaged. That means if a pin that requires to be no more than its supply voltage plus a margin is violated, then it could be damaged.
