PCM5122EVM Not Connecting to PurePath (HOME AUDIO).

(replied to a old post but not sure if anyone will see it, so posting a new thread)

I am unable to get PurePath Studio (Home Audio) to download or configure my EVM.

As noted in the previous threads about this issue, the EVM I received does not have any pull down resistors on W3.  Jumpers are removed from W3 - 6,7,14 and I installed pull down resistors on TP6,TP7 and TP14, however I am still receiving the following errors while attempting to load or connect:

--------------

Build succeeded.

Found board type: FWIDPCM5101EVM-S.
Board sampling rate: 48000Hz.
Downloading base_main_Rate48.cfg to the EVM.

Application download failed. Error: Unable to connect to hardware

-------------

Please advise, I am on a tight deadline and need to get this EVM working.

  • Hi Matthew,

I was able to create this issue by placing my jumpers off by one. Make sure the 6th and 7th jumpers are removed, if you start from the top of W3, start by counting from 1. Also critical is that W1 and W2 are in the 2-3 positions. If any of these jumpers are in the wrong position you can get the error you are getting. With any other configuration error I was still able to program the board with PPS Home.
