Need a Audio codec with single Mic in and no Speaker out

Hi Ti Team,

I am looking for an audio codec with single analog Mic input only, with inbuilt wind Noise cancellation and vehicle sound cancellation. As my product is very low cost design so please suggest part with low cost. There is no need of speaker so we can select that part in which there is no any speaker out.

Please suggest any part for this.

Hi, Sumit,

This application would require miniDSP for the algorithms that you mentioned. We don't have a pre-defined solution, but it could be implemented with the miniDSP filters.

Possible solutions with analog mic input and without speaker output are TLV320AIC3254 and TLV320AIC3256. The TLV320AIC3120 would be a cheaper solution, but it has speaker output.

Hi Luis,
Thanks for reply and suggestion. I am wondering about price, TLV320AIC3120 has inbuilt amplifier but still its price is lesser than other two suggested parts. Any specific reason or extra feature on those two parts.

Hi, Sumit,

The TLV320AIC3254 and TLV320AIC3256 have more miniDSP capabilities. It features advanced TI algorithms that the TLV320AIC3120 cannot support. Also, those codecs are stereo codecs while the TLV320AIC3120 only support one channel.
