I have a design that is driving a relatively light load. As such, I don't need the additional current capacity available by running PBTL. So I have half of the part that is essentially unused. Can I pull the unused inputs to some level that will minimize the power dissipated by the unused parts of the device? Even if power reduction is not possible, what is the safest thing to do with the unused inputs?

keep the unused channel in reset mode by setting the /RESET low. connect power supplies as nomal, that is GVDD and PVDD.

The audio inputs should be left floating.

I'm sure that /RESET will disable the unused channels of the device. I however suspect that it will disable all four channels of the device, no? I still need two channels active.

sorry I was a litle too quick there - there is not a easy way to use just a single channel of the TAS5615.

If you ac-ground the inputs with 2x100n the outputs will still be switching 50% dutycycle, and there will be a litle cross coupling to the used channel - best is actually to use it PBTL mode, and then dont populate the inductors for outputs C & D if you dont need the extra efficiency, and would like to save the 2 inductors. You still need to hook-up the GVDD and PVDD.

Dennis, I agree with Kim's answer. His suggestion seems to me the best solution.

Also, you are correct that /RESET or /SD affects all 4 channels, so it cannot help in your application.
