Hi,

What register settings should i use to generate any one of the DTMF tones on EAR1 output?

Will the tone be present continuously, or only pulse?

Hi, Ivor,

The DTMF generator operation and interface section of datasheet mentions the necessary configurations. Basically, it would be necessary to configure registers 04 or 05 to set the high-tone or low-tone integer value. Once these values are written, the resolution should be selected with register 06. Finally, the gain setting is controlled by the RXPGA gain control.

This is a DTMF generator, so it would be present a tone instead the pulse.

Thanks Luis, that is exactly the type of info I needed.

So I set a Tone in reg 4 or 5
I set Resolution in 6
Then I set the RXPA gain to control volume.

Exactly. Regarding the PSPGA gain, the DTMF gain MUX explains better how the volume can be modified:
