Volume control memory with the wireless transmitter TI 8530 / AIC3104?

Hi,

We are using the TI8530 Wireless Transmitter together with the AIC3104 codec. In the PurePath Wireless Configuration you can define how to change the volume by pressing the buttons. This works fine. My question: Is there a way to configure the setup in such a way that the Volume level remains the same even after power off? At the moment it always goes back to the default setting. This would be very useful for us if this would be possible.

Thanks for your support.

Best regards,

Roger

  • Hi, Roger,

When the AIC3104 is powered off, the registers are placed in default state. This means that the last volume value won't remain the same. There could be a possible way to make this. These audio devices can be placed in sleep or standby modes (disabling the ADC/DAC). This would place the device in a low-power consumption. Since the power supplies are still available in these modes, the volume registers can remain the same.

Please let me know if you have questions or comments about this.

    Best regards,
