Hi team,

In current, I had a question with DRV632.

We summit the box to test BSMI, for audio test had a item with frequency response, below with test environment diagram.

At 20KHx test, the value were -0.731 (R) and -0.657 (L), if we need to reduce the value to -0.5, what we can do for DRV632, I had attached our circuit for you.

Hi Prescott,

You need only the high frequency response to be diminished? or all the bandwidth?
If you need to reduce only the response to high frequencies then a low-pass filter at the output could help.

We need all frequency between 20Hz ~ 20KHz.
Please let us know what we can do for DRV632?

Hi Prescott,

Sorry for the delayed response.
Then you may need to reduce the gain of the device. You can do this by increasing the value of the input resistors R1691, R1694, R1702 and R1706. This will reduce the gain of the DRV632 and the output will be reduced as well.

If increased the input resistors to reduce the gain, how could I keep the 2Vrms output?

I think I'm not getting your question correctly.
What is it that you need to reduce? ( -0.731 (R) and -0.657 (L) to -0.5 ) Is this attenuation level at 20kHz?
DRV632 starts decreasing immediately after 20kHz.

Hi Ivan,

The customer test results show below.

Their request is frequency response need between +1 ~ -1 dB.

You can see the frequency response at 20KHz is -0.7 dB too close to -1 dB.

Customer want more margin at 20KHz.

Hi Prescott,

One possible solution could be to try different values of all the gain setting components.
You could try with the values used on DRV603 board as the following figure:

DRV632 and DRV603 are pin to pin compatible so you can take the values exactly as they are in the DRV603 schematic. I think these components should give a flat response for higher frequencies.
