Hi team,
we have a ctm experiencing some issues with our PCM1800.
They have designed a circuit with 4xPCM1800, where one of them acts as master and the other 3 work as slaves.
The product has been used in the market for quite many years without any problems.
Now the ctm has been reported recently by 3 different cases where for some reasons the ADCs unexpectedly gone into reset state and remain there until a complete reboot was done => and then the Digital out reading is back to normal again.
The data output from the 4xPCM1800 was zeros at the reset state.
If we understand correctly the Fsync was working ok while it was in the Reset state, otherwise the ADCs would have rebooted automatically.
Question is : can we figure out what could be the cases that can push the ADC into this kind of reset state (all Data out is 0) and keep running in this way until we reboot the ADCs? The products are located in quite harsh environments with huge amount of interference.
Above picture illustrates power-on reset situation..
Can it be that somehow Vcc/Vdd drops below 4V during operation and the ADC go to this state and doesn’t come back completely before we have to reboot it?
What could be the other cases to force the ADC to this RESET state? so that the data out from the PCM is zeros while it shouldn’t.
This product is used 24h/7days/12 months => this is always on
Thx in advance for kind help and BR
