According to AIC3254EVM-U Control Software documents, the middle part of this panel must be not empty, so I am confused,

Hi, Michael,

Actually, I would recommend to use another procedure to update the firmware of the codec. Please take a look at this wiki article:

e2e.ti.com/.../2790.how-to-revive-a-usb-audio-evm

This article mentions how to revive an EVM. However, it is the same procedure to update the firmware. In case of the TLV320AIC3254EVM-U, you only need to avoid step 16 (Run "remove-miniEVM.exe").
