CC85xx firmware version roadmap

Hi,

i've seen reference to different firmware versions in the documentation, but haven't been able to find any details on the approximate time schedule for each release.

My application requires a mono channel between PM - > PS and PS -> PM (with data-sub-channel) and it looks like FW2.0 will have that functionality. 

Can anyone tell me an approx. timeframe for the 2.0 release ?  Weeks... months?  Also, i'd be willing to be a real world beta tester of this functionality if that would help.

    Hi Ted,

     

    you are right, you'll need FW2.0 to have that functionality. Approximate timeframe for FW2.0 release is early next year, while FW1.1 is sometimes late fall this year. In the mean time, we will also be doing maintenance releases with minor enhancements - like support for more audio codecs. Next out in July is support for aic3204/aic3254 audio codecs and tas57xx digital input class D amplifiers.

    Thanks for volunteering to be a beta tester, we will post here in this forum section if we see that a public beta makes sense.

    Hi Erling,

    Just checking in on the latest status of the cc85xx firmware.   Are you still on schedule for early '01 for bi-directional (mono out and mono back) support?
