Hi there,
I couldn't find a straight answer elsewhere, so I want to put this here.
When I use the TIBQ software to generate my biquads, it gives strange results when I try to use positive gain numbers.
You would expect a 6db boost eq to be a 6db boost eq, but it affects the overall gain. It seems to be related to the the BW of the eq.
Treble shelf boost isn't even a treble shelf boost... it transfers into a bass shelf cut.
A 2nd order high pass with +6db gain gives different gains on the graph depending on the corner frequency.
What's going on here?

I'm trying to write an excel document to calculate the coefficients but struggling to come out with the same numbers - does anyone have one pre-written?
Finally, if you want to create a biquad to do a simple flat response gain adjustment - how would you do this?
Thank you
David
