Is the MCU in the CC8520 programable or is just firmware? Is there a copy of the firmware available?

    Hi Lynn,

     

    yes - the cc8520 is programmable. PurePath Wireless Configurator is the PC tool used to generate firmware for cc8520, found here. 

    Basically this tool gives you a set of options to configure, including freedom to custom configure external audio devices. The result is a firmware image / HEX file which needs to be downloaded to the cc8520 (no explicit code development needed, the tool is using a graphical interface).
