TLV320ADC3101 Improvement of AGC use

This seems to be related with the target level gain and the AGC maximum gain. The applied gain seems to be reaching the maximum gain. Could you modify the target level and the maximum gain, please? Could you start reducing the target level and increasing the maximum gain? Probably the target level is too high for this application.

Thank you for your advice.

We changed as follows.

The target level -5.5dB -> -12dB

Maximum Gain  28dB -> 40dB

As a result, the frequency of occurrence of strange sound was decreased.

But it was not completely removed yet.

The target level can not be set less than -12dB due to the limitation of the customer's product specification.

Do you think there are still room of improvement?

Are there differences when the rise/fall times are modified? Does this strange sound change when the times are modified? Additionally, does this issue appear when the AGC is disabled?

No, it does not.
It appears when AGC is enabled.

What is rise/fall time?
Do you mean attack time and decay time?

Yes, I would mean the attack and decay times. These times must be increased if the signal frequency is high. Could you verify if these times are related with this issue?

Have you also tested the decay time? This phenomenon seems to be related with the attack time. So, please use the minimal attack time to reduce it. Then, could you tell me if the decay time improves your signal?

This factor multiplies the programmed attack time of bits D7-D3. These factors are used when more attack time is required.
