Is there a way to reduce or remove the pop noise that is a result of the analog mute on the PCM5242?

Hi Kris,

There is a possibility of a pop when the analog mute is enabled due to calibration of bipolar zero. To avoid this you will want to use a soft mute, and disable the auto-mute[which is an analog mute]. The auto mute will enable when you send 0 data to the device.
