TAS5103 PBTL config

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5103, TAS5706B

I want to drive a little 4Ohm Woofer with the TAS5103. It is recommended to use either SE or PBTL config for 4Ohm loads (datasheet P. 7).

For more power I'd like to use PBTL mode, but there are no further information about how to connect the Amp for PBTL config.

From the main-Amp (TAS5706B) i have two PWM-Signals. I connected the positive one to the PWM-Channels A and C and the inverted one to the channels B and D. On the output I connected out A&C and B&D together. Each channel has it's own bootstrap-capacitor. Both mode-pins are connected to GND ( 2 PWM lines).

Is this the proper solution, or did I do something wrong?

Thanks for help!

  • Hi, Micha,

Welcome to E2E, Thanks for your interest in our products!.

Theoretically your approach is correct, although we have not verified this configuration in our device. Also, you should use a post filter PBTL configuration as this device does not support Pre-filter PBTL mode:
